Boosting Performance with Your CAA MCK

Must read

Your very use of a CAA MCK is going to push the performance of your handgun to limits you might have seen not merely as impractical but as patently impossible.

Be that as it may, even after upgrading your handgun with a CAA MCK, there still remain things you can do to boost performance.

Here are a few of them.

Add an Optic

Granted, the CAA MCK in question is going to boost accurate shooting by its design alone. Since you will be able to shoulder the platform and shoot from a more steady position, you’ll be able to shoot more accurately. Many users comment that accuracy improves even at intermediate ranges in excess of 100 yards.

Still, adding an optic, like a scope, or even better, a red dot sight, to your MCK, represents a massive upgrade. There’s a rail over the slide, and it’s there for that very purpose.

Add a WML

Your MCK is going to come with rails on the sides, and even were it not for that fact, you can upgrade a micro conversion kit with rail adapters.

So there’s no reason at all not to add a WML to the platform. You know the old saying, “what you can’t see can kill you”? Well, with a WML, you won’t need to employ cumbersome two-handed techniques like the Harries or FBI methods. The WML will be built into the platform.

Install a Compensator/Suppressor

You will need a threaded barrel for this one, but this one-two combo of an MCK and a muzzle device like one of these will bring down recoil virtually to nothing.

As it is, the mass of the MCK alone, paired with the design that allows you to use two hands and brace it against your shoulder, sounds a death knell for recoil. Let a comp or a suppressor be the nail in the coffin.

This is one of the best upgrades you can make to your handgun in addition to an MCK, as the two of them will basically eliminate recoil; if you still want to cut back even further, you can add some MCK accessories to the platform in order to increase mass, or shoot rounds that produce less muzzle energy.

Get a Second Magazine

The design of the CAA MCK incorporates a slot that is intended to serve as a holder for a spare magazine.

You should absolutely take advantage of this feature, not only because it will expand the overall firepower of the platform, but because it will add weight near the front, which, though it will make the whole thing heavier, will absorb recoil.

On top of that, adding the mag to this slot will improve the handling and ergonomics of the MCK, and the base of the mag and the mag slot can be used almost like a vert grip.

Install Thumb Rests

Lastly, our final suggestion for upgrading your CAA MCK is to install thumb rests. It’s not an exciting upgrade, but it can be made quite affordably, the installation takes seconds, and it will substantially improve the overall handling and thereby performance of the platform, regardless of which one you shoot.
